RECOMMENDATION: Texas Patriots PAC is proud to ENDORSE Ken Paxton for Texas Attorney General. Paxton has done an exemplary job as our AG as he continues to fight the Biden Administration using his legal expertise to stop illegal mandates (especially related to Covid vaccines); to address the illegal invasion at the Mexico border; to protect election integrity; and to defend the rights of Texans in a variety of lawsuits.
Ken Paxton
Ken Paxton has received two checks on our voter guide, which indicates he receives our ENDORSEMENT, Texas Patriots PAC’s highest level of recommendation.
For Conservatives, Ken Paxton’s job performance as Attorney General has been outstanding. Over the last 8 years, Mr. Paxton has aggressively challenged every overreach by the Obama and Biden administrations as well as consistently defended our fundamental constitutional rights, including those of the unborn. He has demonstrated courage, as shown by his filing of Texas v Pennsylvania in 2020, challenging the administration of the 2020 presidential election in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin. And his winning record has been exceptional (See Biden Lawsuit Tracker Below):
The only reason Mr. Paxton has drawn challenges in this Primary is because of the potential personal legal problems he faces. The question facing 2022 Primary voters is whether those problems will likely negatively affect Mr. Paxton’s ability to continue to provide the exemplary services he has been providing.
We believe Mr. Paxton’s legal problems are politically motivated and he will prevail once he has his day in court. We recall similar Democratic dishonest politically motivated efforts that successfully drove Tom DeLay from office in 2006, only to turn out with Mr. DeLay’s complete vindication.
In our view, voting against Ken Paxton because of these political legal tactics achieves the objective of the Democrats.
Don’t fall for these fake charges. Reward Mr. Paxton’s stellar performance by returning him to office.
George P. Bush
George P. Bush, the son of Florida’s Jeb Bush, seeks to unseat Ken Paxton as Attorney General of Texas. Bush’s only experience in the courtroom during the last ten years is when he is being sued. Most notably, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) were forced to sue the General Land Office (GLO) after George P. Bush FIRED the Daughters from the Alamo and then tried to steal the DRT Library Collection of over 30,000 historical books, manuscripts and Texas artifacts. The Daughters fought back in a lawsuit to retain the collection and were awarded reimbursement of their legal fees. This cost taxpayers over $200,000 due to Bush’s inabiltity to understand the law. As the current land commissioner, George P. Bush has failed in many aspects of his job. Since 2015, George P. Bush attempted to “Reimagine” the Alamo and relocate the Cenotaph memorial to the Alamo Defenders. Bush wasted six years of time and millions of dollars due to his inability to understand the legal ramifications of signing a lease with the City of San Antonio when he did not have a Texas Historical Commission permit secured which the lease was contingent upon. In essence, Bush put the “cart before the horse.” Shortly after Bush and the City of San Antonio were stymied by the THC decision, Bush reinstated his law license which he had let lapse for over ten years. In addition to the many examples of Bush’s legal inexperience and lack of knowledge, Bush failed in his basic duties as Land Commissioner by TWICE being a NO-SHOW before the Texas Legislature to give a biennial update of the General Land Office; by witholding Hurricane Harvey funds to Harris County/Houston; and by only doing a mediocre job with Texas’ veterans homes.
On the campaign trail, Bush announced his candidacy in Austin and handed out koozies with a outlined picture of him and President Trump shaking hands. The koozie quoted Trump with printing that said, “The only Bush who likes me.” Embarrasssing for Bush, Trump subsequently endorsed Ken Paxton weeks later. Bush is using his campaign coffers to tour the state for public events with few direct mailers.
George P. Bush as the Attorney General of Texas would be extremely detrimental to our state. Bush is an unpracticed lawyer lacking the needed experience and conservative acumen to aggressively defend Texas against an over-zealous Federal Government seeking to deteriorate Texas’ and other states’ freedoms.
