State Representative - District 18

RECOMMENDATION:

Texas Patriots PAC recommends Janis Holt for State Representative HD-18 because her deep commitment to Conservative Values. She has been an advocate for faith and freedom for many years in her district and has been very active serving her community  Her priorities include securing the border, keeping elections fair, and advocating for substantial property tax relief. 

JANIS HOLT

Janis has a background as a school teacher and small business owner. She has been active in the Republican Party serving as Delegate to the Republican Precinct, County and State Conventions since 2008. She is also has been a Delegate to the National Convention in 2012 and 2016. She is a Member of the Texas Republican Party Grassroots Club, Hardin County Precinct Chair and Election Judge, as well as 2016 Electoral College from Congressional District 26. Janis has been awarded RPT Volunteer of the Year from Senatorial District 3 for 2017. She was also named one of Texas Federation of Republican Women 10 Outstanding Women in 2019. Janis is currently serving as School Board President for Silsbee Independent School District. Janis is Pro-Life, supports Law Enforcement, and advocates for Religious Freedom.

ERNEST BAILES (*Incumbent)

Ernest Bailes is a lifelong rancher and agriculturalist. He attended Texas A&M and earned a BS in Animal Science. Bailes has been a member of Texas House of Representatives since 2017. His priorities include securing the border, defending the 2nd Amendment, upholding Texas values and ensuring local control of our schools. Texas Patriots PAC does not recommend Bailes, however, due to his votes to expand Obamacare in Texas and votes that were inconsistent with our pro-life stance.

STEPHEN MISSICK

Stephen Missick is an ordained pastor and serves as pastor at King of Saints Tabernacle in Cleveland, TX. He has a BA in History from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s in Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as well as a Doctor of Ministry from Houston Graduate School of Theology. Missick has served 28 years in the US Army, the Reserve, and the National Guard. He is Pro-life, Pro-religious freedom, Anti- Government Mandates. However, Missick’s campaign does not have a path to victory.

RONNIE “BUBBA” TULLOS

Ronnis “Bubba” Tullos is a small business owner known for his volunteerism and contributions in the community. Tullos is a former police officer and currently a reserve deputy for the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Tullos is also currently active in the Texas State Guard, he is passionate about the safety of law enforcement and he sees Second Amendment Rights as a priority. Despite his conservative values, his campaign does not show a path to victory.
