The Montgomery County Clerk serves as clerk and custodian of records for the commissioners court, constitutional county court and statutory county courts

  • Acts as a recorder and custodian of important public records, including all bonds, deeds, birth and death certificates, assumed names and livestock brands, ensuring that records are maintained in a secure, archival manner

  • Issues marriage licenses

  • Serves as chief elections officer in most counties

BRANDON STEINMANN

Brandon Steinman, a graduate of George Washington University and the University of Texas, is a strong conservative with an attention to detail. These characteristics will aid him in his ability as our County Clerk…a job which requires organization and meticulous care of records. Mr. Steinmann has 27 years of public service and work as a state agency department head and CFO. Based on his Texas Patriots PAC questionnaire, his answers indicate he is based on strong conservative principles.

JEANIE STEWART

Ms. Stewart is a long-time resident of Montgomery County and has been employed by the County for 13 years. Ms. Stewart unsuccessfully ran for County Clerk in 2018 against Mark Turnbull.
